Keeptime Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 7, 2026 · Keeptime is owned and operated by Article X-29 Inc., a Florida corporation.

Keeptime is an alarm clock with an encrypted photo and video library inside. Everything you keep in it stays on your phone. We don't run servers that hold your photos, videos or settings, and the app has no sign-up or account. Keeptime is for adults 18 and older.

1. What the App Stores

On your phone only: your alarms, timers and world clock cities; the photos and videos you add to your library, their thumbnails and albums; your secret times and settings; and the encryption key that protects them.

Every photo, video and thumbnail is encrypted with AES-256 before it's saved, and the key is kept in your phone's secure key storage (the iOS Keychain or Android Keystore). None of it is sent to us or to anyone else. We can't see your library, and we can't recover it for you, because we never receive a copy.

2. What We Don't Collect

We don't require an account, email address or password. We don't collect your location, contacts, photos or advertising identifier. The app has no analytics, crash reporting, ads or cross-app tracking.

3. Photos, Videos and Face or Fingerprint Unlock

Keeptime uses your phone's photo picker, so it only sees the photos and videos you choose to add. On iPhone, it can also ask permission to remove the originals from Photos after you add them; on Android, you remove originals yourself in your gallery. When you save a copy back to your photo library, it's saved by your phone.

Face ID, Touch ID and Android face or fingerprint unlock are handled entirely by your phone. Keeptime only receives a yes or no; it never receives your face or fingerprint data.

4. Alarms and Notifications

Alarms and timers are scheduled on your phone by its operating system. We don't send them from a server, and we don't receive anything when they ring.

5. Backups

Keeptime never uploads your library. When you make a backup, the app creates one encrypted file on your phone, locked with your recovery key, and you decide where it goes: your phone's storage, your computer, AirDrop or a drive you choose. That service's own privacy policy applies to wherever you put it. Without your recovery key, a backup file can't be opened, by you or by us.

On Android, Keeptime turns off Google's automatic app backup, so your library never leaves your phone unless you make a backup yourself. On iPhone, if iCloud Backup is turned on, your iPhone's own backup can include Keeptime's library, still encrypted, under your Apple account.

6. Keeptime Pro and Payments

Apple (on iPhone) or Google Play (on Android) handles all billing. We never see your card number or billing address.

We use RevenueCat to check whether Keeptime Pro is active. RevenueCat receives a random, anonymous app user ID that isn't linked to your name or email, your App Store or Google Play purchase records, and basic technical details such as device type, operating system and app version. It never receives anything from your library. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

7. Deleting Your Data

You can delete any photo or video in the app; it stays in Recently Deleted for 30 days unless you delete it sooner. Deleting the Keeptime app removes everything it stored on that phone. Because we don't hold a copy, there's nothing for us to delete on our side and no account to close. Backup files you saved elsewhere stay where you put them until you delete them. Cancel a subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings; deleting the app doesn't cancel it.

8. Law Enforcement Requests

We can't hand over your library, your keys or your backups, because we never have them. Use Keeptime only for content you have the legal right to have; illegal content, including any sexual content involving minors, is strictly prohibited.

9. Children

Keeptime is for adults 18 and older and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

10. Changes to This Policy

If what the app collects or shares changes in a way that matters, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above before the change ships.
