Paws & Care Privacy Policy

Paws & Care is a health logbook for pet parents. Your pets' records stay on your device. We don't run servers that hold them, and the app has no sign-up or account.

1. What the App Stores

About your pets: names, species, breed, birthday or gotcha day, photos, care items (vaccines, medications, flea, tick and heartworm doses, grooming and hygiene), care history including who gave each dose, journal entries and their photos, daily health check-ins, weight, food and allergy notes, behavior notes, vet visits, medical records and documents you scan or import, microchip number, and insurance and spending details.

About you and the people you list: the name and phone number you enter under About you, plus any contacts you add, such as your vet, emergency vet, groomer or pet sitter.

All of this is saved in the app's private storage on your phone or tablet. It isn't sent to us or to anyone else. We can't see it, and we can't recover it for you if it's lost. Please only add other people's details if they'd be comfortable with you keeping them.

2. What We Don't Collect

We don't require an account, email address or password. We don't collect your location or advertising identifier, and the app doesn't read your phone's contact list. It has no analytics, ads, or cross-app tracking.

3. Camera, Photos and Files

Paws & Care asks for access to your camera or photo library only when you add a pet photo, a journal photo, a receipt or a medical record, and uses only the photos and files you pick. You can turn this access off anytime in your device settings.

4. Notifications

Care reminders, catch-up nudges, and birthday and gotcha-day notifications are scheduled on your device by your phone's operating system. We don't send them from a server, and we don't receive anything when they fire. You can turn them off in your device settings.

5. Packs, Reports and Sharing

When you make a vet, sitter or boarding pack, the app creates a PDF on your device and opens your phone's share sheet. Where it goes next, such as email, Messages, AirDrop or a printer, is up to you, and that service's own privacy policy applies.

The emergency screen's call and map buttons hand off to your phone's dialer or maps app. We don't see who you call or what you search.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Apple (on iPhone and iPad) or Google Play (on Android) handles all billing. We never see your card number or billing address.

We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription or free trial is active. RevenueCat receives a random, anonymous app user ID that isn't linked to your name or email, your App Store or Google Play purchase records, and basic technical details such as device type, operating system and app version. It doesn't receive anything you've entered in the app. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

7. Backups

We don't make backups of your data. If your phone's own backup is turned on (iCloud Backup on iPhone or Google backup on Android), your device may include Paws & Care's data in that backup under your Apple or Google account.

8. Deleting Your Data

You can delete any pet or record in the app. Deleting the Paws & Care app removes everything it stored on that device. Because we don't hold a copy, there's nothing for us to delete on our side and no account to close. Cancel a subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app doesn't cancel it.

9. Children

Paws & Care is meant for pet owners and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Not Veterinary Advice

Paws & Care helps you keep records and reminders. It doesn't diagnose or treat. Always follow your veterinarian's advice.

11. Changes to This Policy

If what the app collects or shares changes in a way that matters, for example if we add an optional account or cloud backup, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above before the change ships.
