PawCerio Terms of Use

Last updated: October 11, 2026 · PawCerio is owned and operated by Article X-29 Inc., a Florida corporation.

These terms cover the PawCerio app (the "App"). By downloading or using it, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the App. Section 13 asks you to resolve disputes by individual arbitration and gives you a way to opt out.

1. Who Can Use PawCerio

PawCerio is for adults who look after pets. You must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live, to use it or buy a membership.

2. PawCerio Is Not Veterinary Advice

PawCerio is a record-keeping and reminder tool. It doesn't examine, diagnose, treat or prescribe for any animal, and nothing in it is veterinary advice. In particular:

3. Emergency Information

The Emergency screen gives quick access to your own vet contacts, a map search for nearby 24-hour clinics, animal poison-control phone lines and a short list of common dangers. It's provided for convenience. It isn't complete, the third-party services it links to are independent of us and may charge their own fees, and phone numbers or services can change. Calls and map searches are handled by your phone's dialer and maps app.

4. Reminders

Reminders are scheduled on your device by its operating system. We work to make them reliable, but delivery isn't guaranteed: notification permissions, Do Not Disturb or Focus settings, battery saving, device restarts, time-zone changes, storage limits and operating-system behavior can delay or stop them. Opening or dismissing a reminder never records a dose; only what you log is recorded. You remain responsible for your pet's care, so please check the App's Today screen and don't rely on reminders alone.

5. Your Records and Backups

Everything you enter, including photos and documents, belongs to you. It's stored on your device; we don't receive it, can't see it and can't recover it. You're responsible for keeping backups (Settings › Backup & restore) and for where you save them. "Erase everything" and uninstalling the App permanently delete the data on that device. See the PawCerio Privacy Policy for details.

Only add other people's details (for example your vet, sitter or a family member's name) if they'd be comfortable with you keeping them, and only record information you have the right to keep.

6. Care Cards and Sharing

Care cards, claim packets and other PDFs are made from what you entered and shared only when and where you choose. They're not veterinary certificates or official records; clinics, boarding facilities and insurers may require their own documents. You're responsible for checking a card before you share it and for the choices of the people you share it with.

7. Membership

PawCerio is free to download. The free plan covers one pet with every essential: medicines and preventives, vaccines, meals, reminders, logging, care cards, emergency information and backup. A household membership adds more pets and extra features such as the medical vault, health check-ins, the journal, behavior notes, the food diary and spending. Features and prices are shown in the App before you buy and may change; a price change for an active subscription follows the App Store or Google Play notice rules.

Memberships are auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscriptions and may start with a free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase (or when a trial ends). A subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel it anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the App doesn't cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

If a membership ends, nothing you've recorded is locked or hidden. You can keep viewing, editing, logging, sharing and backing up, and you can always edit medicines and correct entries. You just can't add more pets than the free plan allows or start new entries in membership features.

8. Apple App Store Downloads

If you got the App from the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA") applies to your use of it, and these terms add to it. If the two conflict, the Standard EULA controls. Apple isn't responsible for the App or its support; Article X-29 Inc. is.

9. Your License

We give you a personal, non-transferable license to use the App on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, such as caring for your own pets or pets you look after. Please don't copy, resell, reverse engineer or misuse the App, or use it in a way that breaks the law. The App's name, artwork and design belong to Article X-29 Inc.

10. Third-Party Services

The App works with services we don't control, including Apple and Google (purchases and notifications), RevenueCat (checking whether a membership is active), your phone's dialer, maps, camera, files and share sheet, and any app or service you send a backup or PDF to. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to them.

11. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, that reminders will arrive, or that any information in it, including emergency information, is complete or current.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Article X-29 Inc. isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, for lost data, or for any harm to an animal, veterinary costs or other losses that result from relying on the App, a reminder or a record instead of your own judgment and your veterinarian's advice. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

You agree to cover our reasonable losses from claims brought by others that arise from your misuse of the App or your breach of these terms.

13. Disputes and Arbitration

Please contact us first at support@articlex29.com; most concerns can be solved that way. If we can't resolve a dispute within 60 days, you and Article X-29 Inc. agree to resolve it by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court. The arbitration may be held by video or phone, or in Hillsborough County, Florida, or the county where you live. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court.

Class action waiver: claims may be brought only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative proceeding.

Opt-out: you can opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing support@articlex29.com with your name and the words "PawCerio arbitration opt-out" within 30 days of first accepting these terms. If you opt out, or if this section is found unenforceable, disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and applicable US federal law, including the Federal Arbitration Act, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you live outside the United States, you may also have consumer rights under your local law that these terms don't take away.

15. Ending These Terms

You can stop using the App at any time by deleting it (and canceling any membership in your store account). We may suspend or end access to features that depend on our services if you misuse the App. Sections 2–6 and 11–14 continue to apply after these terms end.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the App changes. We'll post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date above; for significant changes we'll also say so in the App. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept it. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
